It has been 543 long and painful days since the heart stopping 2019 Grand Final win v Ringwood and 572 days since the Tigers played a game on our home deck at Walker Park.
That all changes this Saturday as we take on Wantirna Sth in our much anticipated season opener on the MCG of the east.
Although footy is back it will look and feel a little different. Please read the following so you are familiar with our game day processes;
- Membership cards can now be used for entry to home games. If you have pre purchased a membership package it is available for pickup tonight (Thursday) and tomorrow night from 6pm-8pm from the club. Thursday dinners will be available while Round 1 selection takes place and on Friday night we will have the AFL footy in the big screens with complimentary finger food. The membership and merch tent will be set up on Saturday from 10am for membership and merchandise sales and or collections.
- EVERYONE that enters Walker Park or the clubs facilities must scan the QR code’s that have been placed around the venue. It would help if our members and supporters download the “Service Victoria” app prior to the weekend to save time whilst doing the contract tracing. If you have any trouble doing this please ask a member of the committee for assistance.
- The club will accept cash and EFT at all points of sale during the week and at all home games.
- The 2019 premiership flag will be unfurled prior to the senior game at approx 2pm. Life member, hall
of fame inductee and all round legend Kenny John will be raising the flag.
- The new indoor viewing area will remain closed until half time of the Senior game. At half time the room will open strictly to Inner Sanctum members and club sponsors only. There will be a list of members on the door. All other members and supporters are welcome for drinks in the downstairs bar at half time. After half time the viewing room will close and will remain closed until the conclusion of the match.
- Club awards and the Inner Sanctum draw will take place in the bottom bar at 5.30pm with complimentary finger food.
We are looking forward to welcoming you all back to the club in what will be an exciting return to footy for everyone involved. As stated above things will be a little different so please try and work with us as we continue to learn the ropes.
