Not even coach Adrian Campbell knew his side could play as well as they did on Saturday.
So what chance did North Coffs have against the Grafton Tigers in a wet opening round of the North Coast AFL season?
"I didn't think they could play the way they did," Campbell said yesterday.
The Tigers notched a 26-point triumph against one of the league's traditional heavyweights, boding well for an improved year after struggling to match it with teams for much of last season.
"The boys were absolutely unbelievable," Campbell said.
The boys just took the footy away from their opposition all day and they played a dry-game style on a wet day and it worked well for us."
Campbell singled out the efforts of new recruit's Ron Davis and Evan Duryea's contribution.
Grafton: 7.10.52 - North Coffs: 3.8.26
