Expectations of Deaflympics: I was a football player for 19 years. I played for several hearing teams and as well with Deaf teams. I made a debut as a player with the Belgium Deaf Football team at the World Games for the Deaf at Helsinki, Finland at 1961 and represented again for Belgium at Washington 1965.
Previous Major Events Officiated:: I was appointed as a Football Technical Director at the World Games for the Deaf at Copenhagen, Denmark at 1997 and continued to hold the position since and I was the president of the Belgium Deaf Sports to World Games for the Deaf - Los Angeles, USA 1985,Christchurch, New Zealand 1989 and Sofia, Bulgaria 1993.
Other Information: I wish the Deaflympics Organising Committee a success in organising a multi sport event and I hope that from my heart that it will be very successful for the Games.
Field14: My most memorable recollection was in Helsinki, Finland. Our Belgium Deaf football team won a silver medal for 2nd place after lost to Yugoslavia. Another moment was staying with the Belgium team at the university at Christchurch, New Zealand.
