The club's overarching Alcohol Policy specifies amongst other things that:
- The club will abide by Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) laws at all times, and under no circumstances will alcohol be served to an under-age person, either directly or to parents or other persons obtaining alcohol on their behalf (whether served with a meal or not.)
- The club will also comply with EFL by-laws that prohibit the sale of any alcoholic beverages for consumption outside of licensed social rooms until after the conclusion of the U19’s match.
In recognition of the range of age groups that comprise the U19 Team*, the club has implemented the following additional team-specific policies:
- U19 Team players will not be allowed to consume alcohol:
- While any club football game is being played
- After any mid-week training session
- U19 Team players who are aged 18 years and over will be permitted to consume alcohol at the following times:
- After the conclusion of the senior game on a Saturday afternoon
- At official club social functions
The U19 Team may mutually agree to implement additional restrictions that they will administer themselves.
Note (*): EFL rules permit up to ten players under 20 years of age in a club’s U19 list, to support team development.
