Expectations of DAT: Hoping to learn some valuable communication tools for working with deaf athletes and also gain an insight into the deaf community and culture.
Previous Experience with Deaf Sports: I have never had the opportunity to be involved at such a high level with deaf sports. We do have some deaf table tennis players who play in our local club competitions.
General Comments about the Upcoming Deaflympics: I am excited about the Deaflympics. I think it will be unique event and I am proud to be a part of it. Table Tennis is a great game for deaf and hard of hearing people, as sound cues are not an integral part of the game.
