Deaflympics Technical Director - Orienteering
Name: Danish
Functional Areas: During my youth I played basketball for Deaf club in Poland. When I came to Denmark I participated in different sports such as basketball and handball.
In 1978 I learned the sport of orienteering. The combination of mental and physical training and outdoor life was “perfect” for me.
I have participated in several Nordic and European Championship, both as participant and as leader. From 1982 – 2000 I was the leader of Orienteering at Danish Deafsport Federation and again from 2003.
Since 1996 I has been TD for EDSO Orienteering.
Field8: 1981 Summer World Games the Deaf in Cologne, Germany as a handball player
1997 Summer World Games the Deaf in Copenhagen, Denmark as Team

2002 Elected as Technical Director Orienteering for CISS (Deaflympics)
2003 Winter Deaflympics in Sundsvall, Sweden. My first visit at Deaf winter Games in combination with CISS (Deaflympics) Congress.
Field10: I expect these Deaflympics to be a success! Everything seems to be very well planned and prepared. I feel very secure the result will be good. Very satisfied to get a lot of information from the Deaflympics and Australian Organisers
I am thrilled to know that the Australian’s are participating in Orienteering. So that now we have one more continent and not only “Europeans competition” at the Deaflympics.
Field11: In 1981 in Cologne when the Danish Handball team won the bronze medal
