Results from the Swimming Competition
Swimmers looking for results from their days competition can look under the Results tab on this website. Results will be posted on the site at various times during the day.

Attention all Swimmers
The starting time for the pool events at MSAC have changed.
The new times are set out below.
Monday 7 October:
Start Time: 9.00am
Warm Up: 8.15am
Tuesday 8 October:
Start Time: 8.00am
Warm Up: 7.15am
Wednesday 9 October:
Start Time: 8.00am
Warm Up: 7.15am
Thursday 10 October:
Start Time: 8.00am
Warm Up: 7.15am
Friday 11 October:
Start Time: 8.00am

Please also note that finishing times will be later than the 7.30pm finish previously stated. It is expected that on several evenings the Swimming will go into the late evening. Please continue to check this website for more up to date times.

Omissions to Programme
OMISSIONS TO PROGRAMME
After the start of Competition-(Monday 7th)
When checking the swimming Programme, you find you have been omitted, please go the the Swimming Information Desk, at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre, Aughtie Drive, Albert Park, on the mezzanine floor, before the close of swimming on the day prior to your events.

Information for 400m and 800m Freestyle Swimmers
Events 17 & 18 -400m Freestyle and Events 28 & 29- 800m Freestyle will be deck seeded NOT heat seeded.
Events 28 & 29- 800m Freestyle- swimmers WILL be swimming 2 to a lane.

Important Relay Information
Relays are open to both individual swimmers and swimmers who are members of a club. However, please note that to break a FINA Masters World Record for a relay, all members of a relay team must belong to the same club and each must be registered with their Federation. Composite teams can only break Games Records.

Medal Ceremonies - Important Information
Swimmers please note that there will be Medal Ceremonies conducted for all medal winners in every event. These will be presented as results are finalised and the presentations will take place on the mezzanine level at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. You will be required to participate in the medal ceremony to receive your medal.
Medal winners will be advised of the protocol for Medal Ceremonies as their event is concluded.
An engraving service will be provided at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre precinct. Engraving will cost $5.00 per medal and payment is by cash only. This service will operate from 1.00pm on each competition day between Monday 7 and Saturday 12 October.
All enquires regarding Medal Ceremonies should be directed to the M2002 Customer Service Desk at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.

Swimming Profiles
Margo Bates holds five world masters records in the 90-95 age group. Not bad, considering she only took up swimming aged 87 following a brain haemorrhage. In her first event, Margo set three world records! Margo will compete in two major swim competitions prior to the big one the Melbourne 2002 World Masters Games.
