How to get there
Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre is located on Aughtie Drive (near the corner of Albert Road) in Albert Park and is easily accessed by boarding a Number 112 tram from Collins Street or a Number 96 light rail from Bourke Street in the City.
Venue Information
Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) is an international standard sporting venue, and is one of the largest integrated sports and leisure complexes in Australia. The venue will play host to several sports during the Melbourne 2002 World Masters Games, allowing competitors to get a taste of some of the other sports being played at the Games.
The venue has 10 championship all glass squash courts, including a four wall glass court with seating for 300 spectators.

Men, Women: 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
Mixed Teams (3 players): 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+

Competition Rules
Individual
Players may only enter in their own age band as listed on the entry form and may only enter in one (1) event in the Individual Championships. Players may enter either the Open or Graded Event (everyone has the choice of open or graded), however entrants must provide relevant information
To enable grading in the relevant division of the Individual Events, all players shall provide relevant current performances in the relevant section on the squash entry form.
A triple plate system will operate for the Individual Championships to cater for all standards. A minimum of three matches will be guaranteed. A triple plate draw progresses into 4 sections as players win or lose. Medals are awarded for each section.
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to combine any events where insufficient entries are received and to regrade entries where considered appropriate. Alternatively, small entries in an age group or section may be organised in a round robin of 4 or 5 players.
All players are required to fulfil their commitment and play relevant Plate Events.
Each player will be required to mark or referee for the match immediately following on the court of their match, or as directed by Tournament Control.
Mixed Teams
Mixed teams to comprise of three (3) players: One woman and two men or two women and one man.
Nominations for the Teams Event to be included on the Official Entry Form indicating age band and Open or Graded, and advising:
(i) Individual for composite team as arranged by Tournament Committee, or
(ii) Nomination of two players with request for allocation of third player, or
(iii) Nomination of three-person team.
The number of entries received will determine each draw and the Tournament Committee reserves the right to combine any events.
One member from each team shall officiate for the first match and the duties of marker and referee shall alternate for subsequent matches.
Reserve players may be approved by the Tournament Committee to play for any team subject to being of similar grading.

Competition Standards
The squash competition at the Melbourne 2002 World Masters Games will be conducted under the auspice, rules and regulations of the World Squash Federation and Squash Australia. It will also conform to any special requirements of the International Masters Games Association
The Victorian Squash Federation will conduct the competition, assisted by the Victorian Masters Squash Association.
Grade Definition
The tournament will have an open and graded section. Players will be graded into sections depending on the number of entries and the information provided on the entry form. However, players of any standard may nominate to play in the open age if they wish.
Practice Facilities
