About Boroondara
The Tennis competition of the Melbourne 2005 Deaflympic Games will take place at the Boroondara Tennis Centre. Boroondara has 23 floodlit tennis courts, with Synthetic grass, Plexipave Hardcourt and Rebound Ace surfaces available.
The Boroondara Tennis Centre hosts many tournaments throughout the year for both open and junior competitors and is located just a 20 minutes drive from the city.

Competition Courts: 10 floodlit tennis courts, with Synthetic grass surface
Change Rooms: 1 Male (3 showers) 1 Female (3 showers)
Scoreboard: N/A
Toilets: 2 Male, 3 Female
Seating: Approximately 400 temporary seating to be set up on Show Court
Kiosk Facilities: Yes
Other: Tournament Office, Racquet Sports Shop, and Meeting Room and BBQ facilities

Official Pre Games Training
2-5 January 2005 - For more details, refer to Pre Games Training Overview included with this handbook. Players are required to bring their own tennis balls for pre games training.
Warm Up
There will be limited time available on the competition courts prior to the start of each game. There will also be at least two courts available for warm up during competition. Players are required to bring their own tennis balls for warm up.
Game Time Training
There will be two courts available for games time training throughout the competition. A booking sheet will be on site to allocate courts during the Games.
