About the Venue
The Melbourne International Shooting Club (MISC) is located just ten minutes drive (5km) from Melbourne's Central Business District and is accessible by public transport.
MISC is the competition and training venue for many of Australia's international shooters. It is a private club catering to pistol and small bore rifle shooting. It is owned and operated by its members.

Competition Standards
The Shooting competition at the Melbourne 2005 Deaflympics Games will be run under the rules and auspices of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) and DEAFLYMPICS.
Warm Up Facilities
All ranges will be open each day from 1000 to 1400. Shooters are required to bring their own ammunition.
Official Pre Games Training
Unofficial training will be held from 2 - 4 January 2005 at the athlete's own expense. For more details, please refer to the Pre Games Training Overview included in this handbook. Each event will have an official training session one day before the event. Shooters are required to bring their own ammunition.
Games Time Training
All ranges will be open from 1000 to 1400 for Games Time training at the athlete's own expenses. In addition, each event will have official training one day before the event, provided by M2005. Shooters are required to bring their own ammunition and purchase their own paper targets (if needed).
Assistive Devices
There will be no assistive devices for Shooting.

In order to shoot legally in Melbourne, all shooters are required to complete three documents attached.

* Application for Firearms
* Application for Parts (Ammunition)
