Q. Do I need to wear a uniform?
A. No there is no uniform requirement for competitors in athletics events. If you are competing in race walks (10km, 1500m or 5km track) you will need to ensure that judges are able to observe knee action. This mean baggy slacks or long baggy shorts are not acceptable. Thin skin tight slacks would be acceptable if conditions are cold, but are not encouraged. It would be advisable to check with the race referee before competing in any long legwear.
